Their track ‘First
Blood’ consists of striking and hypnotic guitar riffs and pulsing bass. These
elements, paired with the broody and cautious lyrics to the girl entrapping the persona:
‘set me free, you gotta let me be’, make
for a brilliant debut.
With a
content tone and unbroken beat, ‘Meet You At The Station’ is an equally good
track. A reminiscent and carefree attitude is mixed with beach-pop feel-good
riffs, vivid lyrics and unique vocals with elements of nostalgia.
Even with
only two-tracks available online, the bands own brand of indie-rock is already distinctive.
Available on their Bandcamp and Soundcloud, Crossfire’s quirky debut tracks are
definitely worth a listen.
