News: UK Festivals 2014... So Far

Reading & Leeds (August 22nd-24th)

A new announcement went online Monday, adding Paramore and Queens of the Stone Age to the final headline slot, joining Arctic Monkeys and Blink-182. Further bands were added to the line-up including Vampire Weekend, Circa Waves, Wolf Alice, Royal Blood, Jungle, Chvrches and Bombay Bicycle Club.

Kendal Calling (August 1st-3rd)


Kendal Calling, the three time winner of 'best small/medium festival' has an already strong line-up. Suede and Frank Turner & the Sleeping Souls headline. These are joined by dozens of brilliants acts such as Tom Odell, Happy Mondays, Miles Kane, Clean Bandit, Findlay, Zane Lowe and Catfish & The Bottlemen.

The Secret Garden Party (July 24th-27th)


The woodland themed festival will hold host to a variety of bands this summer. Fat White Family, Clean Bandit, Deap Vally, Foxes, Jagwar Ma, Little Dragon, Wolf Alice and Birmingham's own Superfood make up a small part of the line-up.

Latitude ( July 17th-20th)


This festival certainly already has a powerful line-up. With Blur's Damon Albarn, TDCC, The Black Keys, Editors, Bombay Bicycle Club and Tame Impala, Crystal Fighters, Clean Bandit (surprise, surprise) and Lykke Li, it already has something to brag about.

Lovebox (July 18th-19th)


Headliners M.I.A and Chase & Status are joined by The Horrors, Katy B, A$AP Rocky, Joey Bada$$, Crystal Fighters, Bondaz, Duke Dumont and Annie mac in this refreshing line-up for London's two day festival.

V Festival (August 16th-18th)


The Killers and Justin Timberlake headline along with chart-toppers Bastille, Lily Allen, Ed Sheeran, Example and Rudimental. A different vibe is given with Tom Odell, Kaiser Chiefs, Manic Street Preachers, The Strypes, Kodaline and the brilliant Miles Kane. A special guest features in the form of Nile Rodgers alongside Chic.

Isle of Wight (June 12th-14th)


The Isle of Wight festival is an iconic music festival and never fails to please the crowds. The fantastic Biffy Clyro headline, having grabbed Reading and Leed's headlining slot last year. They are joined by fellow headliners Calvin Harris, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Kings of Leon. The legendary Fall Out Boy are there along with The Specials, The Horrors, Swim Deep, Deap Vally, Clean Bandit (another surprise) and Peace.

Bestival (September 4th-7th)

Foals headline the Saturday night along with Beck and Outkast. Newcomers London Grammar storm the line-up along with Disclosure, major Lazer, Clean Bandit (who should be festival veterans by then), Wild Beasts, Chvrches and the beautiful Laura Mvula.

T in the Park (July 11th-13th)


Last but not least, T in the Park also seized Biffy as a headliner. Arctic Monkeys are another headliner as an almost warm-up to Reading & Leeds. Franz Ferdinand, Kaiser Chiefs, Pixies, Bombay Bicycle Club and Jake Bugg join, already festival aficionados.
